Sterling Personnel, Inc. is recruiting for a Certified Medical Assistant for our client located in the Corpus Christi, TX area. The Certified Medical Assistant will perform a variety of patient care activities to assist physicians and nursing personnel including administering injections, among other duties. This is a full time, temp-to-hire position with an expected schedule of Monday through Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM.
The ideal candidate for this position is able to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an excellent attention to detail.
CMA Responsibilities:
- Perform injections, EKGs, phlebotomy, among other procedures and duties within the scope of a CMA.
- Prepare patient by directing them to rooms and provide examination materials such as robes and gowns
- Record and update patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and in a timely manner
- Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies
- Prepare lab reports to be sent off to the appropriate departments
- Respect patient confidentiality at all times
- Organize exam and treatment rooms, stocks, and cleans rooms and sterilizes instruments.
- Maintain certifications (Medical Assistant, CPR, and First Aid) and quality control standards
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
CMA Requirements:
- 1+ years of Certified Medical Assistant required
- Current Medical Assistant Certification required
- Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred
