Sterling Personnel, Inc. is recruiting for a Certified Medical Assistant for our client in the Corpus Christi, TX area. The Certified Medical Assistant will perform a variety of front and back-office duties to assist physicians in administering injections, answering phones, and keeping patient records updated. This is a temp-to-hire position with an expected schedule of Monday - Friday from 8 AM - 5 PM.
Job Responsibilities:
- Answer questions and concerns regarding treatments or procedures
- Update and maintain patient documentations including medical history and current medications
- Coordinate and schedule appointments between patients and physicians
- Prepare and sanitize rooms and equipment
- Administer injections or medications as necessary
- Prepare and send off laboratory specimens
- Take vitals signs
- Perform all other related duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- 1+ years of previous experience as a medical assistant required
- Current, nationally recognized Medical Assistant certification or registration required
- Experience with eClinicals is preferred
- Current CPR certification is preferred
