Sterling Personnel, Inc. is recruiting for Child Development Specialists to assist our client on a temporary basis in Corpus Christi, TX. This position is responsible for helping infants and toddlers develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a stable learning environment through an individualized curriculum plan. This is a full time, temporary position with an expected schedule of Monday-Friday with hours varying between 5:45 AM – 7:30 PM.

Child Development Specialist Responsibilities:
- Maintains open lines of communication with immediate supervisor, parents, and volunteers.
- Plans and implements an individualized, responsive plan for infants and toddlers and allows an opportunity for parent input.
- Documents children's files daily on class attendance, nutrition, health, and behavior monitoring
- Reinforces classroom and environmental safety.
- Screens children for disabilities and submits reports to the Family Service Advocate and Health Coordinator
- Involves parents in educational activities to enhance their role as the principal influence on the child's growth and development.
- Promotes high self-esteem, is a good role model, and follows agency's behavior management system and code of ethics.
Child Development Specialist Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2-3+ years of working experience within a licensed childcare facility (Latchkey programs are acceptable)
- Food Handler’s License (can obtain one within the first week of work)
- Valid CPR and basic life support certifications
