Sterling Personnel, Inc is recruiting for a Temporary Industrial Scaffold Builder for our client, a shipyard, located in the Corpus Christi, TX area. This position will be responsible for building and taking down temporary structures for buildings and ships. This is a full time, temporary position with an expected schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00AM – 5:00PM with overtime hours.
The ideal candidate for this position is able to work at high elevations, is highly reliable, organized and able to follow instructions carefully.
Industrial Scaffold Builder Responsibilities:
- Unload scaffolding materials/equipment on site.
- Ensuring a stable base for scaffolding
- Erect scaffolding poles
- Build and break down scaffold structures.
- Laying planks for workers to walk on
- Fix guard rails and safety netting
- Dismantling scaffolding when a project is complete.
- Install ladders, walkways, and handrails.
- Use a variety of power tools and lifts.
- Clean and prepare constructions sites, including removing debris and dangerous materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Industrial Scaffold Builder Requirements:
- 2+ years of Scaffold Builder or similar experience required.
- Must have experience using the Cuplock system scaffolding.
- Must have shipyard work experience.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and plans.
- Good level of physical fitness and ability to work comfortably at heights.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
