Job Description

Sterling Personnel, Inc. is recruiting for aexperienced Office Clerk for our client, a distribution company located in the Corpus Christi, TX area. The Office Clerk will be responsible for providing administrative and accounting support to the office. This is a full time, temp to hire position with an expected schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00AM – 5:00PM with occasional hours from 12:00PM – 9:00PM. 
The ideal candidate for this position is open to working a flexible schedule and is open to accepting, learning, and being trained on new software.
Office Clerk Responsibilities:
  • Manage basic Account Payable and Account Receivables duties. 
  • Operating cash registers and generating reports, ensuring accuracy. 
  • Closing and redirecting routes 
  • Process various paperwork and reports 
  • Prepare and make bank deposits.
  • Accurately prepare and maintain documents and records.
  • Posting payments to customer accounts and handling check payments. 
  • Reviewing invoices for accuracy before submitting them for payment
  • Entering key data of financial transactions in accounting software
  • Cross train in various duties around the office 
  • Work well in a small team environment to achieve the goals of the company.
Office Clerk Requirements
  • 1+ years of Office Clerk or similar experience
  • 10-key experience
  • Computer literate and proficient in MS Office programs 
  • Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
