Sterling Personnel, Inc. is recruiting for an experienced Office Clerk for our client, a distribution company located in the Corpus Christi, TX area. The Office Clerk will be responsible for providing administrative and accounting support to the office. This is a full time, temp to hire position with an expected schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00AM – 5:00PM with occasional hours from 12:00PM – 9:00PM.
The ideal candidate for this position is open to working a flexible schedule and is open to accepting, learning, and being trained on new software.
Office Clerk Responsibilities:
- Manage basic Account Payable and Account Receivables duties.
- Operating cash registers and generating reports, ensuring accuracy.
- Closing and redirecting routes
- Process various paperwork and reports
- Prepare and make bank deposits.
- Accurately prepare and maintain documents and records.
- Posting payments to customer accounts and handling check payments.
- Reviewing invoices for accuracy before submitting them for payment
- Entering key data of financial transactions in accounting software
- Cross train in various duties around the office
- Work well in a small team environment to achieve the goals of the company.
Office Clerk Requirements:
- 1+ years of Office Clerk or similar experience
- 10-key experience
- Computer literate and proficient in MS Office programs
- Must have strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
